DJ SPOTLIGHT: DANKLE

We’d like to introduce you to DANKLE – Daniel Allen

Tell us how you got started—what sparked your journey into DJing/producing?
Combining a lifelong love of music with attending a handful of bass music festivals eventually led to, “how hard could it really be?”
I bought my first DJ controller in July of last year, and that insatiable curiosity has been fueling me ever since.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your brand or artistry?
I love playing music that people didn’t know they needed to hear. Opening people’s minds and ears at the same time.

What goals are you chasing right now as an artist?
Right now I’m focusing on producing original tracks in order to bring a more unique sound to my sets. The end goal is to eventually be able to play a set full of my own songs!

Best advice you’ve gotten from another artist?
“HAVE FUN!” – Sounds cliché, but keeping this mantra in my mind has always helped alleviate anxiety and remind me of why we do this in the first place!

How do you discover new music to keep your sets fresh?
NEVER stop listening! Doesn’t matter where you are, there is good music hiding everywhere. Keeping my ears (and Shazam) open 24/7 has found me more tracks than I’d like to admit.
