DJ SPOTLIGHT: THE CHAMPAGNE POPPERS

We’d like to introduce you to The Champagne Poppers — a dynamic duo that’s been shaking up stages since 2015.

Tell us how you got started—what sparked your journey into DJing/producing?
We started The Champagne Poppers back in 2015 in Arlington, Texas. What began as a shared love for live music and bass-heavy sets quickly evolved into something more serious after playing a few backyard parties and college shows. Our roots come from blending dubstep with unexpected elements like blues, reggae, and rock—sounds we grew up with and still love. The moment we saw a crowd lose it to one of our original edits, we knew we were hooked for life.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your brand or artistry?
We’re proud of staying true to our sound and our vibe. From remixing the Isley Brothers’ “Shout!” and getting reposted by Two Friends, to building a mini video podcast series (Champagne Talk) that connects us with fans personally—every step has been about creating something authentic. We’ve built a brand that’s fun, unpredictable, and live-show focused, and that’s something we take a lot of pride in.

What goals are you chasing right now as an artist?
Right now, we’re pushing to get our music in more DJs’ sets at festivals and shows across the country. Our next big goal is landing an official slot on a major festival lineup. Beyond that, we’re focused on expanding our reach with our original music and remix catalog, while continuing to grow our content with Champagne Talk and curated DJ edits.

How do you discover new music to keep your sets fresh?
We dig through everything—from SoundCloud deep dives and promo inboxes to weird YouTube rips and vinyl samples. We also produce a lot of edits and mashups in-house, so even familiar tracks feel brand new in our sets.

Best advice you’ve gotten from another artist?
“Don’t just chase trends—build a world people want to step into.” That stuck with us. It reminded us that consistency, storytelling, and having your own voice matter more than trying to copy what’s hot.

Most memorable crowd moments in Dallas?
Two moments we’ll never forget:
• Playing Foam Wonderland at Texas Live in Arlington — thousands of people going wild in a sea of foam, bass booming through the bubbles.
• Opening for Global Dub Festival, where the second they opened the doors, an army of people rushed the stage like we hit play on a riot. Unreal energy both times.
