We’d like to introduce you to Player7 - John.

Player7, please share how you got started as we would love to know more about your story!

-I love this question, because I don't really get to tell my story often. For starters, my love for edm music kicked off for me back in highschool with music from some of my favorite artists including, Avicii, Skrillex, Matoma, Flux Pavillion, Madeon and Kygo. While being born and raised in Virgina, I never truly found or knew of an EDM scene until I moved out to Dallas, TX in 2016 when I turned 21. My first ever show was Foam Wonderland 2017 at a venue formally known as The Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum, following that up with my first ever Festival known as Something Wonderful 2017. From that moment on, I fell in love with every little aspect of this scene, from the music, show production, and of course the friends i've made along the way. As I moved forward to 2019, I felt as if my calling in this scene was to be a DJ, but that quickly changed as covid struck in early 2020
forcing all of us into quarantine. As I spent time in recluse during quarantine, I was able to spend quality time with small friend groups who also shared a passion for Djing, I was then encouraged to hop on their decks even though I had no idea what I was doing at the time. I've always had a passion for music, from playing violin in elementary school, to singing in the school choir, while also listening to music as a form of therapy. February 2020 was the month my lovely partner decided to push me toward my goals by purchasing my first ever deck, a PIONEER DDJ-400 which I still use to this day. From that day forward, I've continued to push myself to be the best I can be at what I love to do, which is DJing, from house music, to drum & bass, and of course my #1 love, dubstep.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your brand?

-For me, what i'm most proud of when it comes to my brand, are the opportunities i've been presented with, all of the friends and connections i've made along the way. From being able to play at some of my favorite venues, such as The Green Elephant, The Yard, RBC, Whiskey Garden, and so many others. I'm just so unbelievably grateful to be put in the positions that i've been put into recently, and the support i've gained so far.

What are your goals as an artist?

-The goals I would like to achieve as an artist are pretty standard, from putting out my own music, to playing bigger shows, and last but not least. To keep doing this for fun, and because I still love doing it.
