It is certainly no longer a secret that EDM is blowing up in Dallas right now. Specifically, the bass/dubstep scene over the last 10 years has grown to take over the city with there being a well-known artist in town almost every weekend it feels like. The point being - EDM has become more and more mainstream and Dallas has some incredible venues for you to dance at to enjoy this community and music!

The Dallas dubstep and electronic dance music scene is becoming less and less of a secret with every passing week. Shows are selling out every weekend, full of new and faithful listeners alike who help grow the underground EDM music scene in Dallas.

There are venues where you can check out all kinds of different types of dubstep and EDM, that have been showcasing these sounds for many years. For example, look at where Excision was in 2009, where he barely sold-out House of Blues, which hits ticket capacity at roughly 1750, to where he is now selling out Toyota Music Pavilion, which holds around 8000 people. The EDM scene has clearly grown exponentially.

This is truly insane to see and proves that the Dallas bass scene specifically has blown up. And boy oh boy has it been fun to witness! If you’re trying to soak up the good vibes, try these venues that have housed some of the most aspiring and talented DJs in EDM’s history.

We highly recommend you check out the dance floors at the following venues:

Green Elephant, 5627 Dyer St, is home to Drum Jam on Wednesday nights and many of HAM Promotions’ events. Dance to the beats of Dallas local artists and catch sounds of dubstep regularly at this spot. Get in on the drum circle on Wednesday nights, and then get down with headbangers like The Widdler, Jantsen, Zinnia, and Champagne Poppers on the weekends.

The Lizard Lounge, 2424 Swiss Ave, is notorious for being the dance spot until 4 a.m. Thank you to the EDM Gods for that extra two hours of dancing! They’ve been hosting sellout DJs and housing heathens who want to dance into the wee hours of the morning for almost 28 years now. Dance with some of the biggest DJ's at one of the longest-running night clubs in Dallas! You can jam up close and personal on the first floor, or groove upstairs on the VIP floor.

Stereo Live, 2711 Storey Ln, is fully equipt with railings, lasers, subs, confetti-fog blasters, and VIP bottle service. There is a show for you every Friday and Saturday night. You can catch the largest DJs who have been around for over a decade, as well as the fastest up and coming talent. Dance hard and leave happy!

It’ll Do, 4322 Elm St, is a jamming night club, with a light-up dance floor. This place vibes towards house music like Dom Dolla, Umek, Kaskade, Eric Prydz, and Ben Bohmer. This is a dance club where you can especially be yourself and meet new friends to boogie with. This old school dance club still definitely knows how to get down.

Deep Ellum Art Co, 3200 Commerce St, isn’t just a music venue, but a supporter of local artists. This venue displays local works of art on their industrial-style walls. They offer food truck service and drinks for your pleasure. Deep Ellum Art is the stage for Dirt Monkey, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, and Enter Shikari. You can dance to the best local jams and look at art at the same time… it’s the best of both worlds!

Dallas also has a few favorites such as South Side Ballroom and The Bomb Factory who recently have had many unforgettable EDM shows like Deadmau5, Wobbleland, Deadbeats, and many more! Find some of the best EDM concerts, meet some of the coolest people, and help support and carry these bass-heavy sounds through the streets to every soul that wants to dance through the weekend!
